Commands in the MSTP configuration mode
This section describes commands that you can call up in the MSTP configuration mode.
In the Global configuration mode, enter the
change to this mode.
● If you exit the MSTP configuration mode with the
configuration mode.
● If you exit the MSTP configuration mode with the
Privileged EXEC mode.
Requirements for changing to this mode:
● MSTP is enabled
● Base bridge mode: 802.1Q VLAN Bridge
● Compatibility mode: MSTP

instance
Description
With this command, you assign a range of VLANs to an MST instance.
Requirement
You are in the MSTP configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli(config-mst)#
Syntax
Call up the command with the following parameters:
instance <instance-id(1-64)> vlan <vlan-range>
