6.1 WLAN
Syntax
Call up the command with the following parameters:
vap ssid <ssid>
The parameter has the following meaning:

The SSID for the VAP interface is configured.

vap broadcast ssid (access point)
Description
With this command, you enable the "Broadcast SSID" function. The SSID is sent in the
frame of the access point and is visible for other devices. This means that clients on which
the "Any SSID" option is enabled can also connect to the access point.
Note
This command is available only in access point mode.
Requirement
You are in the Interface Configuration mode of the VAP interface.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli (config-if-vapX-0-Y)#
Syntax
Call the command without parameter assignment:
vap broadcast ssid

Description
SSID of the VAP interface
show wlan vap <vap X 0/Y>
Range of values
Enter the SSID.
The length of the character string for SSID is 1 to
32 characters. ASCII code 0x20 to 0x7e is used for
the SSID.
To be able to use spaces in the SSID, enter the
SSID in quotes:
vap ssid "H a l l o"
command.
