Recording TV programs You can record TV programs from your TV by connecting the TV to the unit’s LINE-1 IN jacks. Before you start… • Connect the LINE-1 IN jacks of the unit to the audio/video output jacks of your TV (see “Audio/video (A/V) hookup for recording TV programs”... - Page 17 INPUT SELECT Press INPUT SELECT to display “L1” in the display window. TAPE SPEED Press TAPE SPEED to select the tape speed, SP or EP. EP (Extra Play) provides recording time three times as long as SP (Standard Play), however, SP produces better picture and audio quality.

Audio dubbing COUNTER This feature lets you record over the RESET normal audio track. The monaural sound previously recorded is replaced AUDIO DUB while the original hi-fi sound remains unchanged. Use this feature to add commentary to a tape that you have recorded with a camcorder. - Page 38 Audio dubbing (continued) To listen to both the hi-fi and normal audio Set AUDIO MIX to ON in the SET UP MENU (page 34).
