Installing power supply modules

Attention:
matched pairs. Power domain A uses power modules 1 and 2. Power domain B
uses power modules 3 and 4.
Your BladeCenter unit contains two hot-swap power supply modules. Every module
is keyed so that it can be inserted only in an appropriate bay. See the following
illustration for the location of each power module bay.
Complete the following steps to install a power supply module in your BladeCenter
unit.
Note: These instructions assume the BladeCenter unit is connected to power.
Power modules in the same power domain must be installed in
Power module bay 3
Power module bay 4
1. Remove the acoustic module, if any, from the rear of the BladeCenter unit.
2. Remove the module fillers from the bays.
3. Ensure that the release levers on the modules are in the open position
(perpendicular to the module).

CAUTION:
Never remove the cover on a power supply or any part that has the
following label attached.
Hazardous voltage, current, and energy levels are present inside any
component that has this label attached. There are no serviceable parts
inside these components. If you suspect a problem with one of these
parts, contact a service technician.
