  • Page 28 4. Gear shift lever The gear box has positions forward, neutral and reverse. Gear changing can take place from neutral to top gear without stopping in each gear position. Disengage the motor at each gear position! Start can take place irrespective of the gear lever position.
  • Page 29 5. Connection/disconnection of the cutting unit Move the lever forward to connect the drive to the cutting unit, whereby the drive belt is tensioned and the blades begin to rotate. If the lever is moved backwards the drive will be disconnected and the rotation of the blades slowed down by the action of the brake shoes on the pulley.

Make sure that the tractor is horizontal. Unscrew the oil stick and wipe clean. Replace the oil stick and screw tight.

Remove the small retainer spring (2) and lift clutch spring off the pulley bolt. 3. Remove the large retainer spring (3), slide collar off and push housing guide out of the bracket.
