ARREST HARNESS
Arrest harness compliant with EN 361 and EN 358.
A fall arrest harness is the only body suspension device that can be used with a fall arrest system.
We recommend that you check the following points:
No early signs of damage to the webbing.
No distortion of the metal «D" rings.
Proper functioning of the fastenings.
Integrity of the stitching.
Good condition of the metal elements (no cracks, corrosion, etc.).
The attachment of the fall arrest system to the harness MUST be made SOLELY by the back attaching
element provided for the purpose ( "D" link or webbing attaching extension) or by chest anchorage
points (webbing link or "D" link ).
ANCHORAGE POINTS
If possible, use with anchorage devices that conforme to the EN 795 standard or with structural an-
chorage points. That is to say elements fixed to last, to a structure (wall, post...). Ensure in all cases
that the anchorage:
Is correctly positioned and the work is done in a way that minimises the risk of a fall and the
potential fall distance.
Has a minimum strength of 12 kN.
Is located above the operator.
Is in the vertical axis of the work plane: (maximum deviation ± 30°).
Fits suitably with the equipment hanging system.
Has no sharp edges.
CONNECTING DEVICES
The connecting device (lanyard, self retracting lifeline, etc.) provides the connection between the
harness and the anchorage point and is an essential element for your safety. We recommend that you
check the following:
When connecting this equipment, ensure karabiner gates are locked correctly in place.
Allocate equipment to each individual user whenever possible.
Check the equipment before each use to ensure in particular that there is no distortion, no signs
of excessive wear and the locking system is working properly.
Follow the instructions in the user manual for this connection device .
