UEFI replaces the basic input/output system (BIOS) and defines a standard interface between the operating system, platform firmware, and external devices.

Rotate the standoff so that it aligns with the hole in the ServeRAID controller, and position the interposer card connector over the SAS controller connector.

Connect the shorter SAS signal cable that comes with the option kit to the SAS controller connector that is labeled “Ports 7-4”. If you are connecting cables to a ServeRAID-MR10i SAS/SATA Controller, this connector is closest to the edge of the controller and has two straight connectors.
