This manual tells how to set up and begin using your PORTÉGÉ R200 computer.

    Introduction Disclaimer (LCD) Over a period of time, and depending on the usage of the computer, the brightness of the LCD screen will deteriorate. This is an intrinsic characteristic of LCD technology. Maximum brightness is only available when operating in AC power mode. Screen will dim when the computer is operated on battery power and you will not be able to increase the brightness of the screen.

Fingerprint Registration Enroll the required authentication data using the "OmniPass Enrollment Wizard". The fingerprint authentication uses the same Windows logon ID and password. Using the acceleration sensor built in the computer, HDD Protection detects vibration, shocks and similar signs in the computer, and automatically moves the HDD head to a safe position in order to reduce the risk of damage that could be caused by a head-to-disk contact.
