Drainfuelfrom the tank by runningtheengine untilthe fueltank is
empty.Be surethe fuel fill capis secure.
Removethethreescrewsthat securethelowerpanekRemove the
lowerpanelby liftingup on the panelto freethetabs atthe bottom
of thepanelfromthetab slotsandthenpull back.See Figure13.

Reinstallthe drain plugand tightenit securely.

Refillwith the recommended oil and checktheoil level; referto
Checkingand AddingOil in the AssemblySection.

Reinstall t he oil fillercap/dipsticksecurely.
9.
Re-install t he lowerpanel byplacingthetabs in the tab slots,
liftingthe panel intoplaceand securewith the threescrews
removedin step 2.

DONOTcheck fora spark with the sparkplug removed.DONOT
crank theengine with the sparkplug removed.
if the enginehas been running,the mufflerwill be very hoL Becareful
not to touch themuffler.
The sparkplug shouldbe checkedevery 25 hoursand changedonce
a seasonor every 100hours.Toensureproperengineoperation,the
sparkplug mustalso be properlygappedand freeof deposits.

Remove the lowerpanelas instructed in theChangingEngineOil
section.Referto Figure13.

Removethe sparkplug bootand usea spark plugwrenchto
removethe plug,Figure15.

Visuallyinspectthe sparkplug. Discardthe sparkplug if thereis
any apparentwear,or if the insulatoris crackedor chipped.Clean
the spark plugwith a wire brushif it is to be reused.
