Using optical disc drives The illustrations in this section might differ slightly from your drive, but operation is the same for all optical disc drives. The full-size drive provides high-performance execution of disc-based programs. You can run either 12 cm (4.72") or 8 cm (3.15") discs without an adapter. Power indicator Check the Power indicator to determine the power status with the AC adapter connected: Blue/Green Indicates power is being supplied and the computer is turned on. Replacing the battery pack When the battery pack reaches the end of its operating life you will need to install a new one. If the Battery indicator flashes amber shortly after the battery has been fully recharged, the battery pack needs to be replaced.
