2WA RN IN G
If you connect the ignition w ire (red) and the battery w ire (yellow )
to the car chassis (ground), you may cause a short circuit, that in
turn may start a fire. Alw ays connect those w ires to the pow er
source running through the fuse box.
2CA U TION
• If your car' s ignition does not have an ACC position, connect the
ignition w ires to a pow er source that can be turned on and off
w ith the ignition key. If you connect the ignition w ire to a pow er
source w ith a constant voltage supply, as w ith battery w ires, the
battery may die.
• If the console has a lid, make sure to install the unit so that the
faceplate w ill not hit the lid w hen closing and opening.
• If the fuse blow s, first make sure the w ires aren't touching to
cause a short circuit, then replace the old fuse w ith one w ith the
same rating.
• Insulate unconnected w ires w ith vinyl tape or other similar
material. To prevent a short circuit, do not remove the caps on
the ends of the unconnected w ires or the terminals.
• Connect the speaker w ires correctly to the terminals to w hich
they correspond. The unit may be damaged or fail to w ork if you
share the - w ires or ground them to any metal part in the car.
• When only tw o speakers are being connected to the system,
connect the connectors either to both the front output terminals
or to both the rear output terminals (do not mix front and rear).
For example, if you connect the + connector of the left speaker
to a front output terminal, do not connect the - connector to a
rear output terminal
• After the unit is installed, check w hether the brake lamps,
blinkers, w ipers, etc. on the car are w orking properly.
