Satellite A660/A665 Turning off the power The power can be turned off in one of three modes, either Shut Down Mode, Hibernation Mode or Sleep Mode. Shut Down Mode When you turn off the power in Shut Down Mode no data will be saved and the computer will boot to the operating system’s main screen the next time it is turned on.

Satellite A660/A665 When you turn the power back on, you can continue where you left when you shut down the computer. ■ When the computer is in Sleep Mode, the power indicator will blink amber. ■ If you are operating the computer on battery power, you can lengthen the overall operating time by turning it off into Hibernation Mode - Sleep Mode will consume more power while the computer is off.
