Replacing a hot-swap power-supply-with-fan unit
Before replacing a power-supply-with-fan unit, read the following important
information:
v The power-supply-with-fan unit does not require preventive maintenance.
v The unit must be installed in the correct place to maintain proper expansion unit
v Use only power supplies that are supported for your specific storage subsystem.
Complete the following steps to replace a hot-swap power-supply-with-fan unit:

1. Read the safety information beginning on page iii and "Installation guidelines"
on page 41.
2. Turn off the power supply.
3. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet and from the power
supply.
4. Remove the power-supply-with-fan unit from the storage subsystem:
a. While squeezing together the latch and lever that are on each side of the
power supply, press down on the orange area on each latch. The power
supply will slide out of the bay a short distance.
b. Grasp both latches and pull the power supply out of the bay.
c. Place the power supply on a dry, level surface.
5. Make sure that the power switch on the replacement power supply is turned
off.
6. Install the replacement power supply in the storage subsystem:
a. Make sure that the lever on each side of the power supply is down as far
as it will go.
