Parts and controls
BACK/HOME button
Press to go up one list screen level, or to return to the previous menu.
Press and hold the BACK/HOME button to display the Home menu.
5-way button (*1)
Press to start playback or navigate through the on-screen menus of your Walkman.

to adjust the volume during playback or FM reception (except when
displaying a list screen, such as the song list screen or option menu, etc., or the detailed
information screen).
(*1) There is a tactile dot. Use it to help with button operations.
Headphone jack
Insert the headphone plug until it clicks into place. If the headphones are connected
improperly, the sound from the headphones will be impaired.
USB connector
Connect the USB cable (supplied).
Display
OPTION/PWR/HOLD button
Press to display the option menu.
If you press and hold the OPTION/PWR/HOLD button during pause, the screen turns off
and your Walkman enters standby mode [Details].
If you press and hold this button except during pause, all operation buttons are disabled
(HOLD function), and you can protect the Walkman against accidental operation. This
function is useful, for example, during transportation. To cancel the HOLD function, press
and hold this button again.
Strap hole
This is used to attach a strap (not supplied).
RESET button

Press the RESET button with a small pin, etc., to reset your Walkman.
