Complete the following steps to replace the light path diagnostic card:
1. Turn off the server and disconnect all power cords and external cables; then,
remove the top cover (see "Removing the server top cover and bezel" on page
72).
2. Remove from the server the metal mounting plate that holds the light path
diagnostic card and the hot-swap drive backplane as described at step 2 on
page 105 through step 4 on page 105 of "Hot-swap drive backplane" on page
105.
3. Set the metal plate containing the hot-swap drive backplane and the light path
diagnostic card on a static-free surface and remove the 4 screws that secure
the light path diagnostic card to the plate, detaching any light path diagnostic
card cables.
Note: One of the screws also secures the power guard, which holds the power
and signal cables away from the fan.
4. Using the screws from the previous step, attach the new diagnostic card to the
metal mounting plate, making sure to replace the power guard.
