Configuring Snapshot Settings
To configure a camera's snapshot settings

Note
If the NVR fails to retrieve the configuration information for your selected
camera/channel, then you should navigate to a different window (such as
Snapshot or Overlay), then navigate back to the Encode window.
Configure the following settings for the primary stream and secondary stream:
• Code Stream
Set the primary stream type as Regular, MD (Motion Detection), or
Type
Alarm. The secondary stream type is not configurable.
• Compression
This setting is not configurable.
• Resolution
Set the primary stream to one of the following resolutions: 1080P,
720P, 960H, D1, HD1, 2CIF, or CIF. Set the secondary stream to
one of the following resolutions: D1, CIF, or QCIF.
Note
• Frame Rate
Select a value between 1 and 30 (NTSC) or 1 and 25 (PAL).
• Bit Rate Type
Set to CBR (constant bit rate) or VBR (variable bit rate).
• Quality
If the bit rate type is set to VBR, select a value between 1 and 6.
Note
• I Frame Interval Set to 1 S or 2 S.
• Bit Rate
Set to a value within the Reference Bit Rate range. To enter a bit
rate that does not appear on the list, click Customized.
• Audio/Video
Select or clear the check boxes to enable or disable audio and/or
video.
Click Apply to save your settings.
To copy the settings to one or more additional cameras, follow these steps:
a.
Click Copy.
b.
Click the specific camera(s) to which you want to copy the settings, or click All to
select all the cameras, and then click OK.
If you want to save your settings and exit the SETTING menu, click OK.
In the SETTING field in the Main Menu, go to REMOTE> Video&Audio > Snapshot.
NVRs can detect a connected 1080p or 720p IP camera's
resolution as 1080P or 720P automatically. Manually set
960H or lower resolution for analog cameras and for 1080p
IP cameras switched to SD mode.
If your device is connected to the NVR through ONVIF, then
you can not select VBR. If your device is connected to the
NVR through a private protocol, then you can select either
CBR or VBR.
