Standards and approvals A.3 Electromagnetic compatibility Electromagnetic compatibility Definition Electromagnetic compatibility is the capability of an electrical apparatus to function satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without affecting this environment. The control unit complies with the requirements of the EC directive on EMC and the EMC law 89/339/EEC.
ESD guidelines ESD definition What does ESD mean? All electronic modules are equipped with highly integrated modules or components. Because of the technology used, these electronic components are very sensitive to overvoltages and thus to discharge of static electricity. The acronym ESD has become the established designation for such Electrostatic Sensitive Devices.
